Medical Visa Support

If you are considering proton or carbon-ion therapy in Korea, APIS can help coordinate the visa-related documents and application steps relevant to your treatment arrangements.

Which Visa May Apply?

South Korea has medical-treatment visa categories, including C-3-3 for eligible short-term medical visits and G-1-10 for certain longer treatment or recuperation stays. Whether a visa is required, and which type applies, depends on nationality, planned activity and length of stay. Some travelers may qualify for visa-free entry.

Confirm current entry and visa requirements with the Korean embassy or consulate responsible for your place of residence before booking travel.

What APIS Coordinates

APIS can coordinate supporting information from the receiving Korean hospital, help organize application documents and submit eligible Confirmation of Visa Issuance applications through the Korea Visa Portal where that process applies.

The Korean immigration authorities and overseas visa-issuing missions decide eligibility and issuance. A hospital review or appointment does not itself guarantee a visa.

Plan Around the Hospital Schedule

Visa preparation, initial consultation, CT simulation, treatment planning and treatment can occur at different times. Review your expected dates with APIS and the hospital before arranging flights or accommodation.

For an overview of the medical timeline and expected expenses, see Treatment Time and Cost.

Start With Your Case

Begin with your diagnosis or available records. APIS can discuss visa preparation after the hospital pathway becomes clearer.
